Session 1: Validating Your Business Model -
September 18, 2002
Have you realistically sized your overall business opportunity? Review
an in-depth methodology for validating your business model by identifying
areas that represent your optimal start-up revenue producing segment(s),
how you are going to sell to them, and how much money you can expect
to make. Understand how to prioritize your market opportunities for
efficient product design and development and to extend your product
for new revenue streams. And, understand which distribution strategy
makes the most sense for your business to ramp up, and then to meet
ongoing revenue projections.
The selection process is 2-fold. First, the screening team (3 Associates
of VC firms) will select 10 candidates out of all the applications
submitted by May 20, 2002 at 5:00pm. And second, the 10 candidates
will participate in presentation auditions, where we will select the
final 5 that will present at the conference.
